What does it mean to go above and beyond for a child in care?

It means loving and caring for another person’s child the way you would want someone to care for your own if you were no longer able to.

That is the heart of this work.

This week, we are connecting one Ambassador to teach music skills to other children, and another Ambassador to mentor a 16-year-old who wants to become a preschool teacher, just like him.

We are reminded that we are not just filling gaps. We are showing children what it looks like when adults truly show up, believe in them, and help them grow into who they are meant to be.
