July 15th Bonus Day
The July Bonus Day is two weeks away! Mark your calendar for July 15, GlobalGiving’s one-day campaign aimed at helping us secure large-dollar donations. On July 15th starting at 9 a.m. ET, instead of matching small-dollar donations, GlobalGiving will match donations of $100-$1,000 while funds last.
The higher the donation, the higher the match! At this point, you might be asking, is this how do other nonprofits like us succeed? How does COVID-19 factor into our major gift strategy? "Cityzens Giving for Recovery is a 12-month campaign bringing together all City Football Group clubs, focusing on donations, expertise, facilities, resources, and voice, on making a positive difference to the recovery of the people affected by the Covid-19. As part of this, they are matching donations on their crowdfunding platforms for the funding of nine recovery-linked projects near each of their clubs up to a total of ¥67 million* matched against all donations received on or by 31 August. One of which is YouMeWe NPO. https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/cityzens-giving-for-recovery-yokohama/ YouMeWe’s project will provide support to both the children and staff in care homes in Yokohama, Tohoku, Tokyo and Nagoya. Essential goods will be provided to equip homes with the tools they need to run efficiently and provide a safe environment for children to live and learn. Staff will also be provided with psychosocial support to ensure their own health and wellbeing. Nine Clubs. Thousands of staff. Millions of fans. For Recovery. At Yokohama Marinos FC, will be bringing together the staff and fans to help our communities get back on their feet. YouMeWe NPO is an organization that focuses on supporting orphanages in Japan and has taken part in a campaign to support the recovery of people in need.
